🏫 About this system

AENS InfoSys is a modern, DepEd K–12 compliant Senior High School Student Information System built specifically for Aparri East National High School (Maura, Aparri, Cagayan). It replaces paper-based and spreadsheet-driven recordkeeping with a single, secure, self-hosted platform that every role in the school — administrators, registrar, guidance counsellors, class advisers, subject teachers and learners — can use from any modern browser or mobile device.

The system is aligned with DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015 (Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program), DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016 (Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program), and the official Learner Information System (LIS) data standards for Senior High School. Grade computation, transmutation, honor classification and the Senior High School School Forms are all produced automatically, straight from the encoded data, so the school never has to re-key information into a separate reporting tool.

✨ What the system does

  • Learner records & enrolment. Complete SHS learner profiles with LRN, strand, section, track, parent/guardian information, and a per-school-year enrolment history.
  • Quarterly grade encoding. Subject teachers encode Written Work, Performance Task, and Quarterly Assessment scores; the system auto-computes the initial and transmuted quarterly grades using the official DepEd weights for Core, Academic, Work Immersion / Research and TVL subjects.
  • Semestral & final grades. Semester final grades and general averages are computed automatically from the quarterly grades, with the DepEd transmutation table (Appendix B of DO 8, s. 2015) applied end-to-end.
  • Honor classification. With Honors (90–94), With High Honors (95–97) and With Highest Honors (98–100) are computed per DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016.
  • Attendance & observed values. Class advisers record daily attendance and the DepEd core values (Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Maka-kalikasan, Maka-bansa) used on the SF9 report card.
  • Official DepEd forms. One-click generation of the SF9 Learner Progress Report, SF10 Learner Permanent Record (Form 137), and Form 138 Report Card — print-ready and matching the DepEd layout.
  • Guidance & counselling records. A private module for the guidance office to keep intake forms, counselling notes, referrals and behavioural observations, separated from academic data.
  • Excel import. Legacy records, class lists and bulk learner data can be imported from the school's existing Excel workbooks, with a downloadable template and validation reports for every row.
  • Role-based access control. Five distinct roles — Super Administrator, Teacher (optionally also Class Adviser), Registrar, Guidance Counsellor, and Student — each see only the data and actions they need.
  • Activity & audit logs. Every create / update / delete action is recorded in an append-only audit trail with user, IP address and timestamp, so the school has a complete picture of who did what and when.
  • Progressive Web App. Installable on Android, iOS, Windows and Chromebooks; works on slow connections, remembers the login between visits and renders cleanly on phones, tablets and desktops.

AENS InfoSys was conceptualized and researched by Ms. Rosal as her successfully-defended graduate-thesis research project. The system's requirements, DepEd form layouts (SF9, SF10, IIF) and day-to-day workflows are drawn from her own classroom experience, bridging DepEd's paper-based forms and a modern digital record-keeping platform for Aparri East National High School.
